Lush green valleys enveloped by snow-capped mountains; retreating glaciers interspersed with flowing streams and cascading waterfalls; an ancient Gurudwara - the highest in the world - adorned by a sacred ‘snow lake’; and of course a carpet of dainty flowers blooming in vibrant colours; such is the splendor of nature and wonder of monsoon that greets you as you trek into the interior of the Garhwal Himalayas. The Valley of Flowers National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which bursts into a kaleidoscope of colour as the monsoon breathes life into over 300 different species of flowers. At an altitude of 10200 ft to 11200 ft, the months of July and August are ideal to visit the Valley. Hemkunt Sahib - A pilgrimage site surrounded by seven mountain peaks; the star-shaped structure of Hemkunt Sahib Gurudwara, situated on the shores of Hemkunt Lake is of great significance to the Sikh community. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Sikh Guru, is said to have meditated here. The activity will include: - Day 1: Travel via a car bus from Delhi to our first base camp in Govindghat, stay overnight here - Day 2: Trek to our second base camp (14 kms) to Ghangaria, stay overnight here - Day 3) Trek to Valley of Flowers (5 kms one way) and spend the entire day in a land of fairies, in the evening we will trek back to Ghangaria and spend the night here - Day 4: Trek to Hemkunt Sahib - the world's highest pilgrimage point (5 kms one way), take a dip in the holy (and icy) waters here, trek back to Ghangaria in the evening - Day 5 - Travel back to Delhi
