Cool Kyoto Walking Tour with the Last Samurai

Cool Kyoto Walking Tour with the Last Samurai Joe英文非常好,我们是一个巨大的家庭团,5个家庭,里面还有婴儿和儿童,Joe的讲解很有意思,而且很幽默,他选择的点很有当地特色,如果自己去京都玩,是一定找不到这些地方的!!!

10% OFF RAN Kyoto: Enjoy a Fun Night of Live Entertainment

10% OFF RAN Kyoto: Enjoy a Fun Night of Live Entertainment

Take a Koto Lesson at a Traditional House in Kyoto

Take a Koto Lesson at a Traditional House in Kyoto When visiting another country, experiencing its culture is undeniably a must-do. Besides donning on kimomos and drinking Japanese green tea, trying Japan's traditional musical instrument, the Koto, is an experience one cannot miss!! Harumi is a great teacher who will teach you how to play the Koto- from the posture to adopt when playing, to its basic techniques, and I even got to play a duet of Japan's most famous song, "Sakura", with Harumi!! You absolutely do not need a musical background to take this Koto lesson and I do not regret missing a visit to Nijo castle with my family to visit the Soushunan. If you need some inspiration to take this Koto lesson, read this manga called "Kono oto tomare"!! If I were to visit Japan again, I would definitely come back.

Japanese Sword Forge Private Tour & Lesson in Kameoka, Kyoto

Japanese Sword Forge Private Tour & Lesson in Kameoka, Kyoto The experience has been a highlight for my son and I, both Masahiro's explanation of the history of sword making in Japan and the practical lesson in making our own knives was excellent.
We were picked up by Masahiro from Kameoka Station and then taken to his home and forge where we were provided with a detailed explanation of the types of Japanese swords and their components. We then went through the process of making our own knife using the Forge. This was fantastic and the highlight of the tour as we were able to transform a piece of metal into a beautiful knife in the space of a few hours.
We didn't have the interpreter as part of our tour, however, Masahiro was able to easily explain to us how to do each element of the forging process.
I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in sword making or Japanese culture.
