Shizuoka City has a lot of places to visit and enjoyed. Not only a great view of Mt. Fuji but you can see the beautiful nature and learn Japanese history and culture. In this tour, we’ll visit one of the historical sites, Kunozan Toshogu and if the weather allows you will see a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji and enjoy the taste of Sushi at Shimizu port where is the No.1 catch of tuna in Japan. The tour will be 5 hours, but you can choose other places than the above depending on your interest or request to make 6, 7 or 8 hour-tour. I’ll come up with a plan for you if you let me know. ● Kunozan Toshogu Shrine The shrine is one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Shizuoka City. The main building was designated as a national treasure in 2010. It is worth seeing. The shrine is dedicated to the first Shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu, who was the founder of the Edo government. You may find out Ieyasu Tokugawa’s message of peace if you visit there. We can visit the shrine by 5-minute ride of an aerial gondola. ● Nihondaira Hill A panoramic view of the port, Miho pine grove and Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed from Nihondaira, if the weather allows. Tea picking experience is available from the end of April through October at Nihondaira Ochakaikan. It will be a good experience as well. ● Sushi museum is located in the shopping mall facility, S-Pulse Dream Plaza at Shimizu Port attracting many people from home and abroad. After learning about Sushi, you can enjoy the authentic sushi there, because there are many sushi restaurants gathering in the facility.
