After departing at 9am, we will head for Batubulan, where you will take part in a traditional Barong dance. This dance tells the tale of a never-ending war between good and bad. The Barong, a mythical animal, embodies everything that can benefit men and help fight diseases, black magic or any other kind of evil. The evil which he fights is personified by Rangda, queen of death and devourer of children. The tale is told by displaying a triumph of vivid colors and harmonious movements, which you can photograph beautifully. We will then head off to Kintamani village which faces Mount Batur, Bali's second highest peak. The Kintamani area has spectacular scenery. Lake Batur is surrounded by volcanoes and lava fields, remnants of the last eruption that burned all the vegetation and destroyed several villages. You will enjoy your lunch while enjoying a panoramic view of the crater rim. After lunch we will venture south to visit the temple of Gunung Kawi. This temple was built in the eleventh century and has some stunning examples of candi, shrines carved into the cliffs, serving as tombs for ancient kings. Before returning to Sanur, we make one last stop at Tegallalang village, where you can admirethe most beautiful rice terraces in Bali. A spectacular day awaits!
