Enjoy Japanese Dishes with Locals at an Izakaya in Tokyo!

Enjoy Japanese Dishes with Locals at an Izakaya in Tokyo! Not such a good photo but a great night, Toko and Hiromi took me to a very nice Sake bar where we tried a range of different Sakes and some Japanese food - it was great to visit a place I would have never found myself and try new things. We had a great conversation too, thanks a lot!

Leave your luggage at the Voyagin Office in Shibuya

Leave your luggage at the Voyagin Office in Shibuya Voyagin literally saved our lives after a mishap!
After googling a suitcase storage service weeks before, and taking an uber to the storage service and finding out that it had already shut down upon getting there we panicked. Checked out of our airbnb at 10am and our flight was not until 10PM, we quickly had to find an alternative while seated inside our uber. I found voyagin and phoned them right away. All I had to do was pay online with my debit card and we left out suitcase at voyagin until we had to leave. Thank you so much for helping us and saving us from lugging around our five big suitcases! 10/10 would recommend!

Make Wagashi! Traditional Japanese Sweets in Tokyo

Make Wagashi! Traditional Japanese Sweets in Tokyo Sumiko was so patient with us. Even though we had a late start(we got lost) we still were able to learn all the process. We had a great time making wagashi. It was definitely a fun experience. Sumiko gave us free reign over our designs, first showing us how to make a traditional flower and then how to use the tools.

Enjoy Japanese Dishes with Locals at an Izakaya in Tokyo!

Enjoy Japanese Dishes with Locals at an Izakaya in Tokyo! This experience caught our eyes because we LOVE izakaya and we wanted to have a local experience during our travels. Not only did we go to an incredible izakaya restaurant that we never would have found on our own, but our hosts were 2 incredibly cool guys! We had lots in common and the night was full of fun and laughter. It was a perfect matchup! The restaurant specialized in high quality free range organic chicken. The dishes were very unique and TASTY! The menu wasn't in English but thanks to our new friends we ordered the best stuff! We enjoyed our hosts so much that we all became Facebook friends. We hope they will both come to our home city so we can show them a good time here it return! Thanks Takashi and Yosuke!!!!

Enjoy Japanese Dishes with Locals at an Izakaya in Tokyo!

Enjoy Japanese Dishes with Locals at an Izakaya in Tokyo! My host Satoko was another nice person. She made a reservation at a very cool izakaya. She asked me what I ate and I told her "everything". So she ordered us up some nice dishes. We spoke in both English and Japanese and she helped me learn some more phrases. We talked about Japanese vs American culture and our backgrounds. It was a very enlightening experience and it was good to have dinner with someone from the area. Definitely recommended!
