Enjoy walking in Nara in Kimono with a certified local guide

Enjoy walking in Nara in Kimono with a certified local guide This was a fun experience to both wear a kimono and learn about Nara. The kimono shop had a great selection, and even do your hair quite nicely as part of the experience.

Aki, our host, was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to for the whole tour. I did not realize this would be a private tour, but it made it easy to customize based on what we wanted to do.

Overall a great way to experience Nara and get some cool pictures in kimono

Explore the historical cities, Kyoto and Nara in 1 day!

Explore the historical cities, Kyoto and Nara in 1 day! Kazu was an awesome guide! We had such a good time visiting Nijo-jo, the Golden Pavilion, the Bamboo forest, and then onto Nara to see the deer and the amazing Giant Buddha statue. His English is superb, and he effortlessly dealt with us, with my 5 year old son and my very pregnant wife, and the weather incredibly hot and humid, he made us feel at ease the whole time. Great guide!

Join a Personalized Walking Tour in Kyoto, Nara

Join a Personalized Walking Tour in Kyoto, Nara Since there is so much to see in Kyoto we asked Tomoko to just do sightseeing in Kyoto. She arrived perfectly in time and we shortly discussed our planned day. Tomoko speaks good english and knows her hometown perfectly. So we started early by subway and visited wonderfull temples and shrines, for which Tomoko had the whole background and early and later history. Tomoko was so kind to adapt to our speed since we wanted to take lots of pictures. And for lunch she took us in a wonderfull local restaurant without tourist. Since we had seen enough shrines we changed the afternoon program to visit the monthly flea market, which just happend this day. Tomoko is very fit and was kind of sorry not to show us more of her city. But we were exhausted and just couldn't take more - and there ist much more to see for fitter people. So she braught us back to our Hotel.

At lunch I forgot my lens in the restaurant, which was quiet some way away from our hotel. I realy got a headache how to get this lens back after such a long day. Tomoko, without asking, offered me to get my lens and bring it to the hotel - for nothing. I will never forget this act of friendship. I guess in europe nobody would have offered me this. Thank you again, Tomoko.

Customize and embark on a Private Full Day Tour in Kansai

Customize and embark on a Private Full Day Tour in Kansai We've made a last minute request for a day tour of Kyoto and although none of the operators was available Henry has miraculously located for us a tour guide from independent source. Mr Tadashi aka Tada is a brilliant guide. Fluent English, great historical knowledge, fabulous interactions with our kids to make them more interested in the subject while sweating in 30 degree heat. On the top of that he took us for lunch to his secret bbq place ( cheap as peanuts), which we all liked very much. We enjoyed his company and wonderful sense of humour as well as true Japanese gentleman manners. Thank you Henry and Tada.
