Book a One Day Trip to Shirakawago, Gokayama, or Takayama!

Book a One Day Trip to Shirakawago, Gokayama, or Takayama! Shirakawago was beautiful and it was so great to see snow!

    Lunch was delicious!!!!!

I would have liked to have more time to explore Takayama, we were dropped off too far away to walk to the historical village so we could only explore the shopping strip.

Toasting rice crackers was fun but it would be even cooler to see the factory where the made the dough and then toast our own.

Visit Takayama & Shirakawago From Nagoya by Bus!

Visit Takayama & Shirakawago From Nagoya by Bus! I originally booked this through Voyagin instead of just booking directly with the Japanese company because I thought the translator would help me understand the history of places or cultural aspects that the Japanese tour guide would be saying. The translator was wonderful and did translate everything the Japanese tour guide said, but it so happened that the guide did not say much of everything beyond when to get on and off the bus. I live and work in Japan, so my situation is probably not that of the majority of people who would book this. I speak enough Japanese that I could have easily gone without the translator, but I did not want to when booking because I thought there would be so much more to translate. I was disappointed by the lack of history or interesting stories on the tour guide's part. Probably the highlight of the trip was how convenient the transportation was.

Walk and cycle on the old Nakasendo road: Magome, Ena Gorge

Walk and cycle on the old Nakasendo road: Magome, Ena Gorge One must aware that the walking part of the tour is self-guide. However, the cycle part is fully guide and your bicycle is provided. My guide,UKKY, is wonderful. Great communication. Learn a lot from him about Ena in the few hours of cycling especially I only have a short amount of times in the area.

Visit Takayama & Shirakawago From Nagoya by Bus!

Visit Takayama & Shirakawago From Nagoya by Bus! Reserved out tour online thru Voyagin, everything was perfect! From the bus trip to lunch and visit to Takayama and Shirakawa. We went early april so there was still snow in the ground and the weather not so cold. It was a wonderful experience for kids as they enjoyed seeing another part of Japan.
