Ride Sagano Torokko, Walk Arashiyama & Ride River Boat Kyoto

Ride Sagano Torokko, Walk Arashiyama & Ride River Boat Kyoto The day started early meeting our guide, went on a train to meet the boat which involved a horse and carriage ride to hop on the traditional boat for a trip back down the river. This was an amazing ride with the chaps with the oar and long pole guiding the boat over the rough water, ending at a magnificent temple and bamboo forrest. Highly recommend this adventure

Sakura Cherry Blossoms Night Cruise on Sumida River Tokyo!

Sakura Cherry Blossoms Night Cruise on Sumida River Tokyo! The Geisha was an unexpected surprise!! I am unsure if it was because we booked the cruise for the cherry blossom season but she was amazing. The colors of Tokyo even at night is one to awe at. The trip was well worth it even though there was a lot of rain during our stay aboard the cruise. If anything maybe it made it more romantic I suppose. LOVE IT!!

Enjoy Tokyo Bay Cruise with Entertainment Show!

Enjoy Tokyo Bay Cruise with Entertainment Show! Absolutely delightful cruise. Everything was done right, beginning with our prompt and welcoming boarding and our first view of this breathtaking vessel! Although we spoke only English, the staff and performers spoke enough to make us feel truly welcomed and answer any questions. The buffet spread was more than adequate. We enjoyed trying Japanese dishes during our Tokyo stay, but were so happy to see several well-known Western items on the menu! The lemon cheesecake was delicious.

The show was audience-participatory and it was easy to follow the performers' invitations to join in. They were quite gracious and took many pictures. The only thing that detracted slightly from our enjoyment were the number of visitors sitting in front rows who held up not just iphones, but full ipads with covers open and hanging down, in order to film and snap pictures of the show. It would be nice if there were some prohibition against constantly holding up an item that obscures the view of those behind you.

Also, a caution for hip arthritis sufferers - those benches are LOW. Ask for a chair. Otherwise, this was a brilliantly executed evening. THANK you!
