    Home Stay Experience in Osaka

Home Stay Experience in Osaka Mari and her family are such beautiful and helpful people. Although I can be a bit shy, I felt completely comfortable in Mari's home, as if I were visiting an old friend! She explained all sorts of things about Japanese culture and even went above and beyond to help me to travel to other exciting places after my homestay experience. I, honestly, believe that anyone touring a new country to experience a homestay and this one is by far the best!! <3

    Home Stay Experience in Osaka

Home Stay Experience in Osaka I got to meet her lovely family, share a home cooked meal and watch the Rurouni Kenshin live action movie on tv with them. In the morning Mari took me biking around Osaka, we shared a picnic bento (again, home cooked) at the castle, and she toured me through the museum. I was worn out and thoroughly happy by the time I left. Mari is very hospitable, her English is excellent, and she knows what it is to travel/backpack. If you go to Osaka and don't try to spend some time with Mari, you will be poorer for it!

Stay in the Land of Organic Tea and Learn Tea Culture

Stay in the Land of Organic Tea and Learn Tea Culture We had a most pleasant day at the beginning of our trip visiting the organic tea field of the Kinezuka family, welcomed by Tamiko.

We could visit and understand some challenges relates to the tea culture. and get a quick view of the enormous workload related to it. We stopped for lunch, which was delicious and made of seasonal ingredients. We felt it was easy to engage conversation around different topics all very interesting to know more about agriculture on one hand, and about what makes us so different and so similar at the same time on the other hand. All this with baby Tsutsuro (hope I got it right...) watching us !

Tea tasting and black tea factory visit ended the day. We were very happy we had the opportunity to meet the Kinezukas; we wanted to visit a tea field, since living in Canada there isn't much tea growing, and what better way than to talk directly to people engaged in their trade and their community!

    Thank you once again !

Home Stay at a Friendly Couple's House in Kyoto!

Home Stay at a Friendly Couple's House in Kyoto! We had a very nice experience in Kyoto with this lovely couple! :) Yuko and Nial were very kind showing us around and made everything to make us feel comfortable in the city. It was fun travelling with Yuko and very interesting to hear Nial's explanations about the different sites.
We definitely recommend it to people who want a special experience in Kyoto.
    Thank you!
