Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour Pros:
    Beautiful sunset view
Friendly guide who will check up on you and go at your pace
    Appreciation of hardworking miners
If you keep your expectations in check, the blue flame is still nice but smaller, you must go fast enough to see the blue flame by 2am or the wind will change and block the view.
    Gas mask provided
Challenging incline but worth it for the sunset
    Cons:
For the price, tour can improve by organising complementary food before or after the hike or small snack once at the top while you wait for sunrise.
Very long and tiring travel time from Bali , but I am glad I did it this one time. It is better to do this hike if you are staying close by.

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour We get picked up on time (very rare in Indonesia), the driver was nice, and when we fell asleep he didn't mind. When we met with the guide, he was so attentive and make sure all of us are doing fine till the way to the spot. The view is really amazing I didn't have the chance to photograph it because i thought it would be a bad idea to bring heavy cams to the hike

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour We were going there in a group of 6 person so it's a bit cheaper. The car was full and a bit stuffed with our equipment and we didnt get comfy sleeps. when we start the hike we were still tired and unable to enjoy the hike, but eventually the view up top is nice. Not one of us complained so I guess it's money well spent

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour We made the booking on thursday when we decided to make the hike on Sunday Morning. At first the system says in review, and we were a bit anxious. But after a few call to the cs, they handle it professionally, and the first thing that came the next morning is the confirmation email. The pickup is right on time and we left our hotel at 6 PM. The car is the typical car you get in Indonesia - 7 seater family carrier, which is not that good, but just fine. I cannot remember how long we were on the road, but I remembered we make it to the top of the hike around 30 mins before sunrise, which means we had plaenty of time. the view is really good and i really wonder why there's not much of foreign tourist here. or maybe it's just not at the time when i came. Definitely recommend to try this!

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour it's nothing short of amazing! We went to the top without taking too much time, it's only around 2,5 hours. The hike is a bit like Bromo, just without the stairs and everything. When we make it to the top the exhaustion is well paid! The view of the blue fire and the crater is beautiful, and i spent the whole battery on my phone just to take pictures!

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour

Kawah Ijen (Mount Ijen) Blue Fire Volcano Crater Tour i went to bali with my boyfriend and were trying to find something new. We've hiked Batur and and Agung and were looking for a new mount to hike, and we found this tour on govoyagin

We definitely wanted to try and sign up immediately. the booking was simple and easy.

The trip there was a very long trip, we dozed off when we depart and woke up only when we're just pass the port. The driver was kind and understanding, and he only talked to us when we are really want to. We really appreciate that.

When it comes to the hike, it's not exactly a hike. It's pretty much like batur and not too steep, so I believe regular people can do it easily.
the view is sublime! and we really want to come again on the other day just to stay there longer to watch the blue fire
    It's amazing!
