Canyoning in Bali: An Unforgettable Waterfall Adventure! The guides were fantastic, enthusiastic and very reassuring when it came to the hard stuff. They looked after each and everyone of us and always made sure we had smiles on our faces ... 200% recon these guys need a pay rise.

10% OFF Mt. Batur Volcano Sunrise Trek / Private Path Hike

10% OFF Mt. Batur Volcano Sunrise Trek / Private Path Hike First, let me say, I realized just how out of shape I am trekking this volcano, but with that being said, I was determined to get to the top! My guide, Adi Putra, hands down is the best there is! Not only did he get me to the top to see the sunrise, he had the utmost patience with me-because I was a handful! LoL ! Along the way, I think we may have became life long friends. I will be forever grateful that he got me there, and I was able to get some amazing photographs in the process. Do try this trekk-and ask for him. You won't be disappointed.

10% OFF Mt. Batur Volcano Sunrise Trek / Private Path Hike

10% OFF Mt. Batur Volcano Sunrise Trek / Private Path Hike Started off with our driver picking us up right on time, and making our way to the sunrise villas for some tea and coffee before setting off on the hike! They also gave us a bottle of water but make sure you take your own as we went through 2 each easily!) Also make sure you have shoes with enough grip (runners will do but DO NOT WEAR SANDALS/Flip Flops! You are hiking in very uneven ground and need all the help you can get! Also take a jacket for the top it does get cold but you will likely sweat going up so don't wear jeans and a long sleeve like some people we saw!)

We got our guide and were with a group of 4 others (we had read reviews that depending on your ability it would be wise to go with others who are at your pace - and we wanted to make it a fast paced hike to ensure we didn't miss sunrise but also got a good workout!) i saw some reviews that said this was a hard hike which it is not, but its also not for beginners, it is challenging and the last 1/4 is VERY steep and almost rock face climbing I would recommend those who haven't hiked before may find this one very hard! But those who love the challenge or are ready to get their sweat on, with a veryy rewarding view - this is for you!

We made great progress and were the first group up to the top and did it in under an hour and a half (some groups will take over 2 hours but wont make sunrise) so we got a good spot up the top, were given our breakfast (which is two pieces of bread, banana, passionfruit, and 2 boiled eggs from the fissures)! There is plenty of time to take photos and walk around up the top once up there and check out the fissures before beginning the descent! Be warned they also have people up the top selling hot coffee/tea/coffee/soda but it is very expensive and they offer it to you and dont say upfront how much it costs so some people will get stung and also there are no toilets up there so if you drink to much you will have to wait until you get down to go!

On our way down we also saw a bunch of monkeys and some of those who had leftover bananas from breakfast gave it to them but also be warned the monkeys can and will steal your sunglasses and cameras etc and are not friendly! The way down was very quick and our group actually had a bit of a run going in most sections so got down in under an hour but we also had to wait for other people who came in the car with us who were the slowest group so we sat at the villas and had more tea and coffee with our guides who were amazing! They had great English, were very knowledgeable and friendly!

We returned to our hotel by 12pm whilst some of the other groups continued onto the Hot Springs (also wish we did those too but were confused with the booking that we thought you could only do that if you were camping but they will actually take you after the hike if you don't camp!!)

The whole experience was very seemless and we had the greatest time! LOVED our guide and would do it again with him and even going to come back and do the bigger mountain next time!
