    Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking

Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking I learnt how to cook Champuru (goya and tofu) and Rafute (pork) and 2 other dishes at Atsushi's home. Atsushi picked me up at my hotel, that was really convenient. We stopped at the supermarket to buy some ingredients, so Atsushi could answer some of my questions about japanese ingredients.
The cooking class is really authentic, it's easy to understand and to reproduce at home thanks to the explanations.
After cooking, we enjoyed a nice dinner with Atsushi, her wife and their little kid. The dishes were delicious!
    I recommend this experience.

    Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking

Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking Atshushi and his family welcomed up into their home and we spent a lovely evening together. We very much enjoyed the traditional Owinawan food that Atsushi made for us and our conversation was very interesting.
I hope we'll meet again in the future!

    Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking

Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking SO DELICIOUS! And a huge amount of fun! Atsushi was incredibly kind to pick us up at the train station closest to us, and his English is phenomenal. We learned to make Goya Champuru (stir fried goya) as well as the main slow-cooked pork belly slices Okinawa-style, and Jushi (Okinawa-style flavored rice). We learned a lot, and even recreated the Goya Champuru recipe a few days later, and left with a love for Okinawan cooking. Can't wait to try cooking the pork and rice again! We already have a fridge full of Goya that we bought near the airport. :)

    Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking

Pork Okinawan Traditional Cuisine Cooking If you want to learn cooking with real local food, Nozomi is the perfect host. One of the things I am fascinated by is okinawa's abundance of centenarians and how it might be related to diet. In addition to rafute we also prepared some other dishes including andansu, inamuruchi, and kubuirishi. Make no mistake this is definitely a hands on experience. I wanted to get my hands dirty with some delicious local ingredients, and I couldn't have been happier.

Cooking Experience Okinawa Cuisine with GOYA

Cooking Experience Okinawa Cuisine with GOYA If you want to learn cooking with real local food, Nozomi is the perfect host. One of the things I am fascinated by is okinawa's abundance of centenarians and how it might be related to diet. In addition to the truly classic okinawan goya champru, we also prepared it with tuna, along with some other dishes including andansu, inamuruchi, and kubuirishi. Make no mistake this is definitely a hands on experience. I wanted to get my hands dirty with some delicious local ingredients, and I couldn't have been happier.
