Description

The tour starts at Shizuoka Station after meeting up around 9:00 am. We'll get on a local train from there to visit Fujinomiya area at the foot of Mt. Fuji. To visit a tea farm, we'll take a taxi. (or Shin-Fuji Station or Fuji Station will be available. In this case, we'll take a taxi to Fujinomiya.) 7.5-hour itinerary: ● Tea Farm The view of green tea fields against Mt. Fuji is magnificent to see! You can learn about tea processing from a local tea grower and enjoy a taste of their tea. ● Omiya yoko-cho, side street (Fried noodle street) Enjoy famous local food which won the 1st prize in a semi-gourmet nationwide contest for two years in a row. ● Mt. Fuji World Heritage Cetner The facility is worthy to visit and gives us experience as if we are climbing it and opportunity to deepen the understanding about the mountain. ● Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine This shrine has been the head shrine for more than 1,300 Sengen shrines throughout Japan. This Sengen shrine was first built to pacify the eruption of Mt. Fuji in 806. Many successive emperors and powerful samurais and shogun families have shown profound reverence toward the shrine in the past. ● Fuji Takasago Sake Brewery Founded in 1831, Fuji Takasago is situated where Mt. Fuji’s pure groundwater is abundant for use and an ideal location for superb sake making. You can enjoy sampling good Japanese sake. * Depending on your request, a visit to Shiraito water falls can be added. In this case, we need to charter a taxi. The tour will be 8 hours or so. ● Shiraito Fall is one of the sites of the Fujisan World Heritage. The spring water from Mt. Fuji can be seen as a great view of the fall with the width of 100m and the height of 25m.
