설명

Join me on this fun adventure as Bapak Sahnon, our local fisherman from Bug-Bug village, helps you aboard his traditional style jukung out-rigger sailing boat to join the rest of the fishing fleet in the crystal clear waters around the small islands just off Pasir Putih beach in East Bali. Our day starts with an offering to the goddess of the ocean to ensure a prosperous and safe fishing trip. Bapak Wayan also places a "canang " or offering with perfumed incense on his boat before you slide off the the smooth white sand into the glistening blue ocean of the East Coast of Bali. The views of the coast line and Mount Agung are so stunning, you'll almost forget you're fishing! After about 1.5 languid hours, you return to the beach and drive 15 minutes to my scenic restaurant Bali Asli to start our cooking class. First we are introduced to our ingredients, by smelling and tasting them raw. Then we start our hands-on class. Lunch consists of what we cook - about 7 different dishes - including the fish that were caught earlier! If you would prefer to skip the cooking class and instead have lunch cooked by our chefs, you can choose from 2 lunch menus: Megibung or Nasi Campur *********************** MEGIBUNG LUNCH (sample menu) - Home-made Krupuk and 4 types of sambal - Jukut kelor meliklik A fragrant broth made from young coconut, sweet corn and magical kelor leaves - Nasi sele Steamed organic Balinese rice with sweet potato from my neighbour's garden - Urab paku dan don kacang panjang Young fern tips plucked from the nearby gullies, with long bean leaves, sweet red chilli and freshly grated coconut - Don labu, kacang merah me santan Steamed pumpkin leaves and red beans dressed with Balinese spices, tiny limes and coconut milk - Sate ikan laut katek papah, sambal kecicang Fisherman fresh sea fish sate with ginger flower and lime leaf sambal -Sambal udang Wok tossed prawns with a spicy tomato sauce - Brengkes tahu Locally-made tofu, shallots, ginger, lemon basil, tamarind and chilli wrapped in banana leaves and steamed - Sambal telor puyuh Spicy quail eggs, with runny centers and paddy herbs - Dessert Market fresh local fruits and home-made Balinese cakes Bali coffee or Indonesian tea NASI CAMPUR LUNCH (sample menu) - Home-made Krupuk and 4 types of sambal - Nasi sele Steamed organic Balinese rice with sweet potato from my neighbour's garden - Urab paku dan don kacang panjang Young fern tips plucked from the nearby gullies, with long bean leaves, sweet red chilli and freshly grated coconut - Don labu, kacang merah me santan Steamed pumpkin leaves and red beans dressed with Balinese spices, tiny limes and coconut milk - Sate ikan laut katek papah, sambal kecicang Fisherman fresh sea fish sate with ginger flower and lime leaf sambal - Brengkes tahu Locally-made tofu, shallots, ginger, lemon basil, tamarind and chilli wrapped in banana leaves and steamed -Tempe manis Slices of fermented soy bean cake and peanuts tossed in a delicately spiced caramel
