    Studio Ghibli Museum Tickets—Preorder & Last-Minute Tickets

Studio Ghibli Museum Tickets—Preorder & Last-Minute Tickets I highly recommend the Ghibli Museum to anyone who is even familiar with Studio Ghibli - the museum is so beautiful and different. GoVoyagin made it so easy to purchase and collect my tickets and their employees are so nice! The first time I went to Japan I bought tickets from a different site which turned out to be a scam, there sadly are many of those, so if you want to buy tickets I recommend GoVoyagin!

    Studio Ghibli Museum Tickets—Preorder & Last-Minute Tickets

Studio Ghibli Museum Tickets—Preorder & Last-Minute Tickets The museum takes about an hour to get to by train. The walk to and from Kichioji Station goes through Inokashira Park, which is a beautiful walk. We also had lunch near the train station. The Museum itself is a lot of fun, but can feel a bit crowded. There is a 20 minute original movie that was made just for the museum that is excellent. Our tickets were waiting for us at the hotel when we checked in. The experience of booking through Voyagin was seamless.

    Tokyo Subway 24-Hour, 48-Hour, 72-Hour Unlimited Pass

Tokyo Subway 24-Hour, 48-Hour, 72-Hour Unlimited Pass The Tokyo Subway 24-hour unlimited pass we bought was very helpful. Wish we had gotten more. Definitely recommended to get before you leave so you don't have to negotiate the ticket machines.

Buy Suica Card—Japan's Most Convenient Prepaid E-Money Card

Buy Suica Card—Japan's Most Convenient Prepaid E-Money Card Picked this up at the airport after exiting arrivals restricted area. Just outside the gate at one of the counters nearby, easy to find following the instructions. Once you get the card, you just need to top it up at one of the ticket machines outside of any train station gate. All machines have English option so you can understand the steps very easy. It's pretty expensive to transit on JR and metro lines in Japan, so for 14 days I added a total of 12800 yen to the card and literally used it all. So make sure you include a transit amount in your budget if you get this card. But if you don't travel between stations a lot then you'll probably use it less. We walked mostly in Osaka, but traveled between stations a lot in Tokyo.

JR Pass – 7, 14, or 21 Days Unlimited Rail Travel in Japan

JR Pass – 7, 14, or 21 Days Unlimited Rail Travel in Japan I highly recommend taking the JR from Tokyo to Kyoto and exploring Arashiyama and Nara as well as the Temples and Shrines in Kyoto. Arashiyama features the bamboo forest and the Iwatayama Monkey Park . Nara is outstanding with the parks, gardens, temples, and above all, the deer. Apparently my Suica IC card fell out of my pocket while on the Shinkansen. I reported it to the JR lost and found office in Kyoto Station and the next day it was returned to me, completely charged. I was astounded. They were also very helpful with Kyoto map and teaching me how to take the bus to my hotel.
