10% OFF Tour all the popular places in Tokyo with a local!

10% OFF Tour all the popular places in Tokyo with a local! We were able to go to great places in Japan because of our tour guide, Taito. He's very nice, friendly and thoughtful, even gave us a gift after thhe end of our tour. We've learned a lot about Japan from him. It was such a memorable experience. Thanks Voyagin and to Taito!

Wear a kimono while strolling around famous spots in Tokyo

Wear a kimono while strolling around famous spots in Tokyo Emozionante e bello, anche se un pò scomodo, perché il kimono è stretto e le calzature non sono adatte per le lunghe camminate.

Explore Meiji Jingu shrine and the Imperial Palace in Tokyo!

Explore Meiji Jingu shrine and the Imperial Palace in Tokyo! We met at the Hamamatsucho Bus Station and the tour guide was ready from the get go.

The tour was fantastic, as it was our first time in Tokyo. The routes took us to basically see what Tokyo has to offer and allowed us to be more comfortable since we are from the States.

The tour guide was very informative and gave us tips along the way.

    I would recommend this trip!

Sakura Cherry Blossoms Night Cruise on Sumida River Tokyo!

Sakura Cherry Blossoms Night Cruise on Sumida River Tokyo! The Geisha was an unexpected surprise!! I am unsure if it was because we booked the cruise for the cherry blossom season but she was amazing. The colors of Tokyo even at night is one to awe at. The trip was well worth it even though there was a lot of rain during our stay aboard the cruise. If anything maybe it made it more romantic I suppose. LOVE IT!!

Grand Tour of Tokyo Highlights with English Guide, Tokyo!

Grand Tour of Tokyo Highlights with English Guide, Tokyo! It was a very good tour. The tour guide took us to some of the main tourist spots. Her English was good and had a lot of knowledge about the spots.

One thing I really liked is she went out of her way to make shore no one got left behind. Great day out.

Duel with sumo wrestlers and eat chanko nabe in Asakusa show

Duel with sumo wrestlers and eat chanko nabe in Asakusa show My husband and I hadn't ever gotten to see a sumo tournament in person, but we still wanted some sumo action! This was one of my favorite things I've ever done in three in a half years of living in Japan. Everything is explained in perfect English and the demonstration is the perfect mix of silly and "Oh my goodness, these guys are no joke!" The rules of sumo were explained, which I would not have known otherwise, so now when I see it on TV I can understand what's going on! My husband and I both put on suits and duelled with the wrestlers, who humored us and were incredibly good natured. The two wrestlers were retired from sumo and participated in serving us chanko-nabe, which was delicious and I GLADLY took seconds. They answered our many questions and were a delight to meet. The proprietor is also a retired sumo wrestler, if I understand correctly.

Definitely one of the coolest experiences ever! Don't miss it!

Join hidden Izakaya&Sake Pub Crawl Tour in Tokyo

Join hidden Izakaya&Sake Pub Crawl Tour in Tokyo Shuri-San was a excellent guide! The three of us speak very little Japanese. However, this was the only language allowed at some the Izakaya of Okachimachi station, so he interpreted expertly for us. The izakaya were packed with people and it was super fun to hang out with the locals. Shuri-san took us to a very old standing bar in the area, a takoyaki stand facing the street and one of the original sake shops in the area. He is also a very fun guy to hang out with. We talked about baseball, anime, and much more. We tried some local beers, bottles of hoppy (a hop infused drink you add to shochu) and a flight of the local and seasonal sake. The night flew by and before we knew it our great time was over. Since no pictures were allowed in most places Shuri-san was kind enough to bring his camera and take pictures for us outside. If you want to try local food and drink in Tokyo, have Shuri-san show you. You won't be disappointed!

Duel with sumo wrestlers and eat chanko nabe in Asakusa show

Duel with sumo wrestlers and eat chanko nabe in Asakusa show When I asked my nine year old what she wanted to do in Japan she wanted to see sumo. So this day out was much anticipated and turned out to exceed our expectations. It is held in quite a small venue which is tricky when fully booked but allows for a very friendly and "up close" encounter. The host is fluent in English so no tricky communication - there is a display of training and wrestling techniques by the former professional sumo wrestlers and then enough time for all guests to take on a sumo wrestler. These are big guys who tailor their approach to their opponent - lots of humour and theatrics with the kids and women - sometimes a bit more serious with the blokes who thought they could give it a red hot go with a real sumo - but always safe and controlled. Food is apparently the daily fare of sumo wrestlers so like a homecooked Japanese style stew. Simple and sustaining. A great day out.
