Hi! my name is Taiji, I'm living in Tokyo.
Before that I used to live in Paris and spent 16 years of my youth, so I'm alright with French too.
I’m set here since college because I was fascinated by the Japanese subculture; game manga and electronic devices. I guess I had the same kind of passion just like the younger generation of foreign guys who are fans of Japan. Then my interests shifted into history, traditional cultures and to discover the mysterious Japanese mind that made me become a bigger fan and a guide.

My activity is of course taking you to sightseeing, telling about our history and providing you information so you can have a better idea and image about our country. I'll take you to the best picturesque places and eat well, but at the same time I'd be also concerned to know about your background. I’m sure that I’ll be asking you questions to have a better understanding of your culture and history, find the differences or what we are actually having in common, because I think this is the best way to keep our souvenirs long and fresh.

Beautiful views of Mt. Fuji 5th station and Lake Kawaguchi

Beautiful views of Mt. Fuji 5th station and Lake Kawaguchi I decided to try this experience as it was my first time to Japan and to Mount Fuji. I did not want to waste time travelling via public transport and figuring how to go to the places I had intend to go.

I was really pleased when Tom, our tour guide, told us that he was able to create and itinerary around the places we wanted to go. He even brought us to a place to buy fruits (the peaches were delightful) and to the world heritage center of mount fuji. These were fit in on top of the places we already planned to go.

At the end of the tour, we chose to be dropped off at a restaurant instead of our hotel and Tom actually helped us to look for it until we found it. I found this really cool and really appreciated him doing so as he wasn't obliged to help us look for it.

Tom is a really warm fella. He is also knowledgeable and very accommodating. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a first-timer or would like to have a more in-depth experience of Mount Fuji and the places around it.

Private charter tour to Nikko & Edo Wonderland or hot spring

Private charter tour to Nikko & Edo Wonderland or hot spring Nikko is beautiful and our guide, Mr. Tom Harada, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A big plus for our family was his constant offer to take our pictures which he then emailed to me even before our tour was over. We also had an excellent driver, Mytoshi.

Edo Wonderland was a lot of fun, especially the Ninja show. Our only regret was not having enough time here but we wouldn’t have wanted to give up seeing the Toshogu shrine or skipping the great steak lunch we had where we got to try Tochigi beef. Over-all, it was a good tour, but if you have time, it may be better to spread Nikko over 2 days.

See Mt Fuji's stunning view points and hot spring in Hakone

See Mt Fuji's stunning view points and hot spring in Hakone It's easy to get lost in everything there is to do in Tokyo and to get caught in the big city stress, just remember, like me and my friends did, that there are beautiful mountain ranges just an hour or so out from Tokyo. So we made the decision to get a closer view of Mt Fuji and other highlights in the area. With a pretty small price difference (depending on how many you are) the clear choice were for us to go with our own guide instead of having to run around catching buses and being more limited.
Taiji is really a great guy who picks you up and drops you off were you live. He is fluent in english which is actually a rare commodity in Japan as per my experience. He drove us around all day and we had great talks about history and Japanese traditions. We got to see beautiful sites, eat a great local lunch and last but not least bath in a refreshing onsen (hot spring). When we got home we were all really happy we went and diversed our travels in and around Tokyo.

Visit Fuji Gotemba Premium Outlet and relax in a hot spring

Visit Fuji Gotemba Premium Outlet and relax in a hot spring Our host Taiji did an excellent job and we all had an amazing time. We got lucky and got a view of Mt. Fuji without any cloud coverage. The restaurant where he took us had delicious food. We got to try the local soul food of the area Houtou. The shopping center is huge and after all the walking around, the hot spring really hits the spot. Thanks Taiji!
