Take a farm trip and cooking class in Ho Chi Minh

HCM Agricultural Villages is a village with an area of over 150,000 square meters, located on the dirt roads of Cu Chi Province which is about 35 km away from Ho Chi Minh City. In this village, there is an evident blend of the culinary culture of the Cu Chi people and the general food culture of Vietnam. Visitors will be exposed to the life of the countryside as they take in the surrounding sights and sounds of the livestock and birdsong in the mornings. Cu Chi is also famous for its cattle. Here visitors will see herds of wandering cows on the field, and understand more about the day-to-day activities of the locals. In an age where farming employs science and technology, the local people still choose to retain the traditional methods of farming. Buffalos can be seen plowing on the fields. Here, visitors will better understand a known Vietnamese proverb: "Buffalo buffalo oh I say this / out field buffalo buffalo plow with us / plow is the rural / buffalo mine there, who would take over ...". Visitors will discover and better understand the process of rice cultivation by local people. In addition, visitors will visit and discover vegetable gardens containing mushrooms, fruits and herbs with an area of over 15,000 square meters. They will get to understand more about the process of growing vegetables, mushroom cultivation method, to explore new fruits and get to know how to incorporate herbs into their daily meals. Moreover, visitors will become farmers for the day as they don Vietnamese Traditional Hat and use Bamboo Baskets with scissors to harvest vegetables, mushrooms, fruits and herbs from the garden to use for cooking with a professional chef. Apart from farming, visitors will get to take a trip to the fish, prawn lake and poultry areas, where visitors will see some lovely prawn, fish on the lake and chickens and ducks on Rice Fields Starting from 5am to 6pm everyday, visitors can see the local people in our Villages engaging in various activities and join with them if they want such as feeding the cow, picking up vegetables such as cucumber, okra, bitter melon, squash ,white radish …. Lastly, visitors will get a chance to cook and eat unique dishes. With an area of over 200 square meters with a capacity of over 200 guests for cooking class and 300 guests for restaurant, this is the place where visitors can get to taste the nutritious and fresh produce after harvesting them. With our very own professional chef, it will be a great opportunity for visitors to understand the various techniques and secrets behind making Vietnamese cuisine. Visitors who complete the cooking class will leave with a certificate, recipes and their own culinary creations.
