詳細

Shodo is a eastern art to express the beauty of characters. Basically, we use a brush and black ink to write characters on paper to practice Shodo. When we practice Shodo (Calligraphy) with a brush, we need an inkstone, a brush, paper and ink. These materials are called the "Four Treasures of Study". You may not take your time to write characters in daily life, or if from abroad never wrote Japanese characters at all. Using a brush offers delicate writing pressure and a better expression of the writers feelings on the paper. In this activity, I would like you to experience the beautiful art of hand-writing and expressing feelings on paper in four steps: 1.You will learn about the history and tools of Shodo. 2.You will practice the fundamental elements called Sho, Hane, Harai, Tome. 3.You will learn that the feeling of Sho varies and transforms to different shapes. 4.You will write Sho on Japanese hand-made paper, made by Japanese craftsman. 5.The Standard Class + Calligraphy tool set Class to enjoy a general overview of calligraphy includes calligraphy tools that you can use to practice calligraphy at home or outside. Take your Sho home as a souvenir!
