Tsukiji Tuna Auction Tour with a Guide During the Night

Tsukiji Tuna Auction Tour with a Guide During the Night I had a really fun time during this tour. My guide, Yumiko-san was very friendly, she was very accommodating, fast to reply thru emails, and speaks English very well. I'm really happy I did this one-on-one guide tour because other than being a tour guide, I'm talking to her as my friend. She was very informative as she would tell me more about how the Tsukiji Market started in the past. The waiting time was very long compared to the tour time but it was worth it.

I availed the after hours tour, and she took me around the inner and outer market, I was able to try so many free samples of food. She also took me to the nearby shrines and a park. And on my way back she came with me to the train station.

Thank you Yumiko-san, I really had a great time with you! Hope to see you soon!

Tokyo Ramen Experience with A Local Foodie

Tokyo Ramen Experience with A Local Foodie If you're into Ramen noodles, this tour is the one to book. Frank san was very informative and he really knows his Ramen noodles. Be sure to brush up a bit on your knowledge on Ramen noodles as there's a fun fact quiz involved if you don't want to fail miserably like me :)

I would definitely highly recommend this tour if you like eating big portions (in my opinion) of yummy Ramen noodles with a fantastic, friendly and well informed Local Foodie Insider, Frank san. You won't be disappointed! :)

Try to make handmade Udon noodles in Osaka!

Try to make handmade Udon noodles in Osaka! Had an amazing time and great learning experience with Sally at Udonzin Restaurant in Osaka. She spoke English which made my learning experience more enjoyable and Sally did an awesome job of showing us the inside secrets and techniques of making udon noodles from scratch and then we all ate our delicious udon noodles for lunch. We had two options to enjoy our udon either hot or cold. I chose the hot option with the thin soup broth as shown in my photo and was hands down the best tasting udon i have ever eaten. I would highly recommend taking this class from her as she is a great teacher. I am a professional chef back home in Los Angeles and will share the love to my students next term and what i have learned from Sally was all on point ^_^

    Handmade Soba Lesson in Asakusa

Handmade Soba Lesson in Asakusa Our host was extremely knowledgeable and informative. It was very impressive to watch him work and to get to take part. Was a real pleasure. We ate at the restaurant after and got to eat some of what we made which was great.
