Reserve Shunsaiten Tsuchiya Michelin 2-star Tempura in Osaka

Reserve Shunsaiten Tsuchiya Michelin 2-star Tempura in Osaka I think this maybe the best Tempura restaurant I have visited so far. They blend so well the Kaiseki into their famous Tempura . Absolutely lovely set menu and wide choice of wine and sake selection. My sister family and I had a great night. Thank you.

Reserve Shunsaiten Tsuchiya Michelin 2-star Tempura in Osaka

Reserve Shunsaiten Tsuchiya Michelin 2-star Tempura in Osaka Down a bunch of sweet, winding roads, on a quiet, softly lit street, sits Shunsaiten Tsuchiya, as though out of a fairytale. And the magic doesn't end there.

This was unlike any experience eating tempura I've ever had, and that includes in Tokyo and Kyoto. Every dish, in every course, was prepared with such a delicate touch that you could taste it.

The highlight of the meal had to be the piece of tempura Miyazaki beef, with mustard seed, that melts in your mouth. Not only is it the finest cut of beef I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy, it's lightly fried in the most expert of ways, that it elevates the taste even further.

Unlike other restaurants in which I had made a reservation through a concierge service, we were the only Gaijin in the place, which was a welcomed surprise. That's when you know it's the real deal. Because of the rarity of foreigners, however, the chefs and servers speak very very little english, but it was no problem at all, as long as you do your due diligence in learning the Japanese words for the different types of fish, so you at least know what you're eating.

What a special, cozy, beautiful restaurant!
