Hello, my name is Haluna, and I am a Japanese national trained as a licensed chef.
When I was a child, my parents managed a Japanese restaurant and I have had a love for cooking ever since. I was always standing in the kitchen with them wanting to learn more about cooking Japanese food.
After graduating from high school, I studied English in Australia, where I was fortunate enough to make friends of many nationalities. I learned a lot about different cultures and different cuisines.
After returning to Japan, I worked in a Japanese restaurant for three years and obtained my chef license, which is a nationally recognized qualification for chefs.
It was during this time that I rediscovered the beauty of Japanese cuisine and culture. It is now my passion to teach others about my knowledge of Japanese culture and cuisine and this is why I started my cooking classes focused on traditional, natural Japanese cooking.
I hope my students can take what they learn and use it to continue cooking Japanese food for their friends and families at home.
