Deskripsi

Shogi (将棋 shōgi, generals' chess) known as Japanese chess, is a two-player strategy board game, the most popular of a family of chess variants native to Japan. Shōgi means general's (shō 将) board game (gi 棋). The earliest predecessor of the game, chaturanga, originated in India in the 6th century, and sometime in the 10th to 12th centuries Chinese chess, xiangqi, was brought to Japan where it spawned a number of variants. A 75 year old Japanese businessman, Ikeda-san who is the founder of a cram school in Kyoto since he was 16, will teach you how to play this famous game in his own cafe. He will also share with you his experience in setting up his business at the age of 16, when his wealthy family had lost all their fortune. His grandfather is one of the founding fathers of Ritsumeikan University, a famous university in Kyoto.
