Deskripsi

Tungnath is the Highest Shiva temple in the world, but heavy winter snows leave it out of reach to most pilgrims. This is when we'll make our pilgrimage, when you don't need to share this place with anybody else. But be warned, it's not easy. We'll have long trekking days in deep snow (but, we can bring snow shoes!) This is in the shadow of the might og Garhwal Himalays, with Mt. Chaukhamba almost always visible. Above the temple is the Chandrashila (moon rock) peak at 4000 meters, and we'll also try to climb to the top of this mountain. A recommended add on is an extra night at the Deorital lake, which is completely surrounded by snow in winters. Accompanying me on the trip will be a local guide, a cook and porters. We'll sleep in tents, and I can also provide warm sleeping bags. This trip will take 7 days.
