Experience the Traditional Way of Dyeing Fabric in Tokyo

Experience the Traditional Way of Dyeing Fabric in Tokyo With my translator, this was a really awesome experience. To just sit down for a while and carefully paint your own handkerchief was very relaxing and fun.
The host was super nice and interesting, and happy to help if you made a little mistake or wanted any advice. He'll also teach you great painting techniques.

Experience the Traditional Way of Dyeing Fabric in Tokyo

Experience the Traditional Way of Dyeing Fabric in Tokyo I have been involved in costume and textile craftsmanship and design for many years, having worked with silk screenings and fabric dyeing, as well as painting and decoration. Meeting and taking class with Fujiki-San was very inspiring, as he introduced me to yet another technique that I took with me and added to my arsenal. Getting a chance to learn an authentic Japanese method of fabric painting also helped to obtain a deeper glimpse into the Japanese culture, which I admire and adore, and which continuously inspire me.

Take an Intermediate Lesson on Dyeing Fabric

Take an Intermediate Lesson on Dyeing Fabric During the experience I was learning how to paint Japanese Kimono.
It was truly amazing experience. In 2 hours I was painting using my favorite colors and using only natural, traditional tools.
I would recommend this activity to anyone who search something new in Japan culture and want to express himself.
