Originally from the States, I first came to Japan interested in paper-making, then started practicing ikebana and tea ceremony in 2009. In 2014 I received a license from the Sogetsu sect to teach ikebana.

My husband and I run a cafe/bar and host guests from all over the world in a big old (250 years!) ryokan in Kyoto. I live for matcha drinking, sweet bean dessert eating, hunting for tiny bars on side streets, and being in the mountains that surround the city.

I can't wait to meet you and share the beauty of the Japanese seasons through flower arranging.
