    Refreshing White Water Rafting at Telaga Waja River Me and my girlfriend participated in this activity, the overall impression is good - we liked the experience.
    Our driver picked us up at an agreed time right from our hotel in Sanur and delivered to the bank of the mountain river. After short briefing and welcoming coffee/tea we were equipped with life vests, safety helmets and rowing paddles.
    3 hours of rafting with several stops is quite enough, if you're not confident in your physical fitness and endurance - I'd rather take a 2-hour raft instead of this one - this is more than enough for a first-time rafter:)
    The adventure implies a lot of rowing under instructor's supervision and team work, the better you listen to his commands and react accordingly the smoother and faster your trip will be. Regarding safety - there were several moments when a possibility to injure oneself arose - nevertheless I must admit that the instructor was caring and cautious and did whatever was possible to mitigate the risks. If you have any serious health issues with heart, joints, spine or just don't feel good you'd better refrain from this activity since it is rather intensive, takes a lot of effort and muscle work. In the middle of the trip you will perform a jump inside a raft from a 4 meter height (a small dam) so be especially careful if you have spine problems and inform your instructor beforehand. The activity also implies exposure to the hot Indonesian sun and chilly fresh water of the mountain stream, get ready to be 100% wet within the first 30 minutes - therefore spare clothes for a change is a must unless you want to end up in damp pants/t-shirt. Don't forget to treat your skin with sunscreen or else you're running the risk to be burned; I neglected my knees and ankles and had them totally burnt:(
