Kabukicho and Shinjuku Golden Gai Night Tour

Kabukicho and Shinjuku Golden Gai Night Tour This is a super interesting and enjoyable tour. We enjoyed a typical izakaya meal, drinks in golden gai and learned all about the red light district, pachinko, host/hostesses, and a bunch of other strange/interesting/fun/funny parts of Japanese culture. Sally, as an intrepid traveler herself, is a great guide! Highly recommend.

Kabukicho and Shinjuku Golden Gai Night Tour

Kabukicho and Shinjuku Golden Gai Night Tour Had a great tour with Sally – I was the only one there. We met at the train station at an easy to find location, despite the place being so busy. As for the tour itself she was really knowledgeable about the area and showed me a lot of secret, hidden spots. This includes the fantastic eel restaurant we went to afterwards, which I certainly would not have had the courage to walk into as it had no English signs. In addition to the guide fee one also needs to pay for all the drinks and food, so it was a pricy evening. But the food and conversation was phenomenal and definitely got my comfort level up for this area. <3
