Customize and Enjoy a Private Half-day Tour in Tokyo!

Customize and Enjoy a Private Half-day Tour in Tokyo! My husband, baby, and I had a fantastic time touring with Chika-san in Yakata and Ueno area. She was very kind, flexible, and knowledgeable about many topics! We visited Nezu Shrine, Yanaka Cemetery, and Ueno Park. We also got to stop by two amazimg stationary shops, a sweets shop, and had coffee at the park. She listened closely to my requests and made the perfect plan for us. We even had a great conversation about literature! Even though we were traveling with our infant, Chika made the tour enjoyable for all of us and was very helpful and kind. We had a great tour and hope to tour again with her in the future!

Tour Around the Lively Neighborhood of Kagurazaka!

Tour Around the Lively Neighborhood of Kagurazaka! Really enjoyed walking around Kagurazaka with a knowledgable local dressed in a kimono. He was able to tailor the trip to our group and show us interesting things about the area. The many narrow cobblestone streets of Kagurazaka is a bit overwhelming on your own so it was great to be with Nori-san.

Customize and Enjoy a Private Half-day Tour in Tokyo!

Customize and Enjoy a Private Half-day Tour in Tokyo! If you have never visited Japan before and don't speak the language you must get a tour guide on your first day. The train is fairly confusing, and there are not many english speakers, so I highly recommend getting a full day tour as an intro to the city. Our tour guide was fantastic, and met us at our hotel (I recommend doing a hotel pick-up). She helped us get train cards, and we were on our way! The fish market is amazing and insane. I have never seen anything like it in the world, and it was a fantastic start of the day. Then sushi lunch nearby, followed by seeing the major sights and sounds of the day. You can customize the day based on whatever you want to see. I recommend going to the food halls at one of the major department stores. It was very interesting and we actually wished we had spent more time there :)

Tour Around the Lively Neighborhood of Kagurazaka!

Tour Around the Lively Neighborhood of Kagurazaka! We had a wonderful 5 hours including hotel pick
up with subway rides. Our guide Tomoko was helpful and informative -especially taking time to assist my visually impaired wife with temple and subway steps. A perfect sunny day ensured we got the most out of sightseeing, shopping and eating! We even caught sight of a genuine Geisha but she modestly turned away before cameras could be activated! Thoroughly recommend as a "grounded" Tokyo experience.
