As you know, Kyoto is the most traditional city in Japan. We still preserve Kyoto's architecture and cultures. Machiyas (Japanese-style house) and Sake (Japanese liquor) are our traditional icons, you will get a chance to know these things if you visit Kyoto. In this activity, you will visit a Edo Period Sake museum which is located in Machiya town. It is a building from the Edo period that served as a sake brewery. You will learn about Sake brewing and the history of a Machiya town house as well. The tools and machines on display that were used in for brewing are very well preserved and a guide will explain to you about the stories behind each item. I'm looking forward to meeting you, please visit us and learn about Machiya and Sake.
