Description

After a short moment to enjoy the stunning views and a cool drink at my restaurant Bali Asli, you will follow our trekking guide who will take you "through the looking glass" up into the village of Pangi, where you will have the opportunity to peek into the daily life of the Balinese. Our trekking guide will explain Balinese culture and the intricacies of Balinese life as you walk past village temples and peer over moss-clad walls to understand how a Balinese house and its temple are designed. In addition to enjoying stunning views over rice fields, ocean and volcanoes, you will visit a local and his son who make "tuak" or Balinese palm wine. The group will then wander through coconut groves and cassava plantations, under water apple trees and past pineapples before coming across a small traditional Balinese home. You will be invited in for morning coffee and traditional sweets. Lastly, descend to a natural spring where the local gather holy water. This is where you can bathe your feet in the springs of the valley of Tauke before wandering through the rice fields back to the restaurant to start your cooking class.
