HomeThings to do in Kanchanaburi

At the Safari Park in Bo Phloi, the winds of change are in the air. Be part of this exciting transitional stage and contribute your time to improving the animal welfare at the park and setting the standard for the rest of Thailand. Your day will involve feeding, grooming and socialising baby leopard, tiger and/or lion cubs followed by an elephant ride through the jungle (optional extra) to the nearby river where you can swim and water fight with the fun loving mahouts. You can also fed the elephants yummy banana treats and get to know each of their distinct personalities. Afterwards create toys and puzzles for the monkeys and learn how to accurately record the results. You will then clean out our Binturong enclosure and hand feed them under the supervision of our friendly and knowledgeable long term volunteers who can answer all your questions and teach you about each animal. Next you will enter the Big Cat Garden where you can chose which Big Cat you would like to have photos with. These cats are approximately 8 - 16 months and are very well trained using only positive reinforcement! Meet and train and photograph the tigers, lions and leopards from inside their enclosure! You will also learn how to target train with the Langur monkey and get a chance to feed gibbons and several species of macaques. Each one has their own likes, dislikes and behaviours and it won't take you long to fall in love with your favourite monkey! You can also play with and feed our friendly macaw parrots who love to sit on your shoulders - especially Captain Joey! After this you can relax in the comfort of our Safari Bus as we take you around various enclosures where you can get up close and person with lions, tigers and bears and hand feed giraffe, zebra and deer. Guaranteed to be the best photos of your trip! After Safari you can hang out in the park to explore the natural surroundings or just to meet our keepers as they carry out their day routines. If you are lucky you might even get the chance to walk a jackal or two! A truly once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget. We have extremely limited availability!
