All the trip was funny. We had the opportunity to see the floating market and to ride the elephants
A whole new experience
love the concept of the floating market. Our tour guide gave us a good tips always be there to assist you in anything. i definitely recommend to go with this tour. Not only that, they also brought us to ride elephant and visit tiger farm. one of a good memorable things in Thailand.
Wish Granted for My Mother
It was a blessing in disguise when I found on the net the tour service of Voyagin Thailand. It was an enjoyed, arranged trip, and my mother has nothing to do, but, to take her own videos on her IPad. As I can not upload my pictures here, you may direct to my FB account - Somporn Noipann.
Kob Khun Krap.... Voyagin, especially to Yo (our Tour Guide) and Tiger (our Driver).
The floating market was a very different experience altogether. Its nice to experience something different and thanks to govoyaging i got to experience it. The pick up was on time and the entire tour went smoothly with no hassles.I would definitely recommend this tour.
Good bonding time with family
The floating market is something you don't get to experience quiet often hence it's uniqueness is already a reason why you should do it. But that's about it. You won't miss anything much if you won't do it. The good thing though is that our tour guide is excellent and I can't pass the rate with Voyagin as it's the cheapest I have seen online (thanks voyagin!).
Suited needs but unhappy about elephant park
My sister and I were looking for an easy to get to and from the Damnoen Floating Market and voyagin provided that service. We enjoyed our tour guide who was thorough and made sure we knew where to go and the prices. He was also flexible and accommodating in helping us arrange a different drop off point.
The only point we were very unhappy about this tour was that it included a visit to an elephant / adventure park that was closeby to the floating market. The park included elephant feeding / rides and other activities like shooting BB Guns. This park did not appear to be ethical or completely fair in their treatment of the elephants and was not something I wanted to support. It was not clear in the tour description that it included such entry. If it had, I would not have booked it.
Only 20 minutes to explore the market by yourself. If you go by rowing boat..
The tour really wanted that we joined the rowingboat at the market. It's just a way for selling items and we went past every single store! After the boat we had only 20 minutes left to explore the market.. The sightseeing of the market is great. It really looks like authentic Thailand! So we wished we had more time to explore the market.
After the market we went to the elephant riding park. We really hated this animal abusing place! Please don t ride an elephant!
This tour didn't meet my expectations. First of all, as it was not a private ride, we spent an hour or so picking up people from different hotels. Despite I paid for the pick up service, I was confirmed that my hotel area couldn't be covered and that I would receive a refund (that didn't happened and nobody has replied to my emails).
The van was very confortable for the 2 hours ride. When we finally got there, we had to pay 150 bahts additional cause the tour didn't include boat ride in the canal!
After the floating market, we went to an elephant school and some others decided to feed baby tigers. Both of these experiences has additional cost as well.
I am still expecting the reimbursment for the service transportation I never received. Hope to receiving news from you soon.
The day started out great, we got picked up right in front of our hotel in Bangkok in a minivan. We had a very competent English speaking guide which was not a communality. We got dropped off in Ratchaburi in just over 2hours. The guide is very helpful and tells you how best to bargain and teaches you some Thai words.
After the floating market we went down to an Elephant yard where you can ride elephants and take pictures with owls and crocodiles. Even though the animals seem to be treated well, this part was not for me. In my opinion animals shouldn't be used for profit, and even though it's all legal in Thailand, riding elephants was a No for me, but your opinion may vary.
All in all a very well organized trip by Voyagin, and I'd definitely recommend it.
The trip was good, was cheap, nothing to complain if I was only paying 1000 for a 8 hours trip ( if u don't wanna do anything extra ) but around 3 hours were spent in the transportation, the trip was devided in three parts, the floating market, the elephant village n the wood craving workshop, well it was in general good, we spent at each place for around 30 to 45 mins, just good enough amount for exploring, things were a bit expensive in elephant village, plus don't suggest buying the package deal cos apparently we didn't have enough of time to do all three activities, u would miss one out of three, so I would suggest stay away from it, the wood craving was boring, just a bunch of stuff u can just find in Bangkok city n not any cheaper, the only one thing I didn't like about the trip was we were being transported in a mini van but hey just cramped like more than 10 people in one vehicle, it was just too crowded but what can i say, it was cheap, anyway I would suggest this activity, cos it' just costs u one morning, from 7- 2 pm, u can still have the evening, plus it's a trip outside the city, cheers:)
