Amazing views, friendly staff, disappointing food

Booking on the Voyagin website was quick and easy. The pickup was timely and convenient especially in a big city like Bangkok! The cruise was really refreshing as we could lay back, enjoy the views, and watch some traditional Thai dances by the cruise performers. The food was a bit disappointing (we had a set course meal). Although the variety of dishes was large, the food was subpar compared to other food we had eaten during our 1 month trip. The waiters were quick and helpful though so getting your drinks were no problem!

Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise was a highlight of our visit to Bangkok. The bus picked us up on time and the driver was polite and courteous. The dinner was exceptionally tasty and the waiting staff were efficient and very entertaining. It was altogether a very enjoyable evening

    The best of the bunch.

The heat, hustle and bustle of Bangkok can suck the energy out of you. After our day out visiting the temples (also booked through Voyagin - amazing experience too!) and shopping we wanted a relaxing night out. Voyagin's customer support recommended us the Loy Nava Cruise. Now we had heard some horror stories about these cruises and were quite hesistant to begin with. crowded, loud boats with booze everywhere (we are Muslims so we try hard to stay away from places specializing in alcohol.) However, not only was this the best dinner of our trip, but the cruise so such a relaxing experience. We were easily able to secure us a Halal menu through Voyagin and everything went seamless - including the pickup. The cruise is so relaxing and charming with traditional live music in the background. The city's gleaming monuments passing by is the perfect icing on the cake :))) We saw many other cruises that night but this really looks like the best in many aspects.

I love Thai food and Loy Nava!

This is such a beautiful night with Thai food, lovely dance and relaxsinng way to see the main sights. I wanted to do one boat cruise with my partnar and my friend recommended me this one with govoyagin. It's not expensive! Thank you everyone for helping me for nice dinner!

    Nice, but a little rushed

The boat is nice - a typical rice barge so it's already a higher standard than all the other characterless cruises. The food was excellent, but we felt a little rushed as the meals were coming in one after the other. Do not expect a 3 - 4 hour relaxed session as you would in a restaurant with similar quality of food. I can understand that it's 2 hours and there a lot of meals to go through - but it would have been so much more in tune with everything else in the cruise which is so relaxing if we just werent hurried like that. The traffic back home also might have contributed to our slight disappointment.

    Lovely evening in the capital!

We are not such big fans of Bangkok as it's too crowded and polluted for our tastes - we usually visit for the northern areas. However, if you do stay (even if its just for 1 night) in Bangkok, we highly recommend having one dinner on Loy Nava for a top class Thai meal and an antique cruise. The breeze at night definitely helps to see Bangkok from a different aspect. The good thing is that they don't pack the boat with hundreds of people and all their tables promise equal views of the river.

    Night of Ambience

The negative reviews of this on TripAdvisor are fake! No way can the food be claimed to be microwaved from the supermarket. I actually cannot believe that we were able to have such an amazing experience in such a price! The food was the best we had had on our trip - and we have eaten well. The boat itself is so chamring and seeing the Grand Palace lit up at night is just a dream. The only downside was that we had to share the river with other boats who had been trying hard to match this experience!

    You're in Thailand

Authenticity is an overused term in the travel industry. However, it is only appropriate to use it here. The boat is an an antique, the food is authentic thai (and amazing) and the performances are also thai. None of that cheap ballad singing here. Seeing the Grand Palace pass by, having a delicious a Tom Yum Goong on a traditional Rice barge with that welcoming smile - my friends, you are truly enjoying the best of Thailand.

    Best Value for $$$

This is truly a 5 star meal, cannot believe that pick-up and authentic live entertainment is included in the price! There are many other boats priomising the same in Bangkok - this is THE ONLY one by a non-corporate owner, so you can tell that there is heart in it.You can see that they they try to give their best. We were ful and they still kept on offering us extra!
