- Explore the beautiful Akasawa village in Yamanashi
This is a 3-day trip to some of the most sacred Buddhist places in Yamanashi prefecture. Akasawa is a small village located between Mt Minobu, where you will find the head temple of the Nichiren sect, and Mt Shichimen, which is also a sacred mountain of the Nichiren sect. During the Meiji to Showa era (1868-1945), Akasawa prospered as a post town for the Nichiren sect worshipers. The village still retains the atmosphere and the appearance of the old days. You will feel as if you have stepped back in time to the good old days when life seemed a little simpler.
