Description

We begin fairly early in the morning with a visit to a sumo training stable, where we witness a living link to the samurai age, and some of Japan's strongest men up close. We then tie this in with historic and quirky sumo monuments and sights nearby, and I even offer restaurant recommendations for lunch or future visits. As a leading sumo writer with an expert knowledge of Tokyo's streets, we can really combine a lot of fun things here. Sumo training is mainly held in Tokyo at these times: January 3rd-22nd February 2nd-20th April 15th-May 21st June 2nd-21st August 20th-Sept 21st Oct 2nd-25th Dec 10th-20th Training is finished by 10am, so reservations must be at 7am.
