    Dojo mojo

It was so so. A lot of waiting around but also lot of cool knowledge. Too bad it felt like most got lost in translation as I dont speak japanese. Wish it was more actual use of katana than it was. Cool to see a real dojo and some old armours that was there. Would I recommend? Sure. Nice experience but could have been better :)

    Just Amazing

To every one , this experience was just amazing .
To meet the master of the dojo and have some advices from him , to hear his stories .
To training with him and his "student" who are already ranked as kind of master i think .
To learn how to use a katana and how to HIT and cut with it .
Just a half day really interesting , if you like the japanese history , you have few hours in the skin of a bushido , wearing real japanese clothes and practice as a japanese bushido student.
Thanks for makes me discovering that experience . I loved it and i recommend to everyone who like Japanese history to try it =)

    All was perfect =)
(Our translator was perfect too )

    Great experience cut short

I felt in two minds about this experience...firstly very grateful to learn so many interesting things about samurai history and to get to try cutting tatami with a live blade. Let's face it, there aren't many chances to walk in off the street and try that on your first lesson.

However, I was told the lesson would be 4 hours and it was only 1 1/2 hours instead. That left me feeling pretty shortchanged.

If it had gone the distance I think it would have been 5 stars.

A fantastic experience that we'll never forget!

My three kids (13, 11, and 9) and I loved the opportunity to learn about bushido and use real 300 year-old katanas while wearing a traditional costume. The masters at the center were adorable, our guide amazing and we overly enjoyed ourselves. This was probably the best activity we did in Tokyo and I highly recommend it!

Had a fun! and a great experience

The overall is quite good! Actually I'm a Japanese guy but I've never done this experience.. I joined it alone this time, other participants(foreigners) are totally 4. The organizer bring us smoothly from the meeting spot to the event spot by train. and they rent us Suica( Japanese train useful IC card) so I felt their hospitality.(Thank you!) After arriving, we could rent a traditional cloth (Dougi) in there and practiced "Iai", learn how to take a sword, cut off. A Bushido Master and his staff members are very friendly and kindly(so nice!). So we really enjoyed it and be serious(IMPORTANT), haha. I hope I join it again soon!

    Great experience with real bushido

It was great pleasure to join this event. We learned not only the way to throw the sword but also the real Japanese way of thinking. Along the event, there are two staffs, who translate for us and try to make us enjoy the time together.

If you have half a day in Tokyo and try to indulge Japanese Bushido (martial art), I totally recommend this event.
