Zakuro Ginza was founded in 1955 and is the first shabu-shabu-specialized restaurant in the Kanto region. The restaurant is located in the very center of Ginza, just a 2-minute walk away from Ginza station.
The lunch is quite reasonable; the price starts at 1,500 JPY, but if you want to enjoy the top quality Japanese cuisine, dinner is highly recommended.
Zakuro Ginza serves a multi-course set meals, including shabu-shabu (thinly sliced beef boiled in water), sukiyaki (thinly sliced beef slowly cooked or simmered in a shallow iron pot in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and mirin), or steak. The ingredients are top quality; including the A5-ranked black wagyu (Japanese beef). You will feel the beef melting in your mouth. Rich taste "goma-dare" (sesame sauce) is Zakuro original, and brings out the flavour of beef.
For this experience, the prior reservation is a must. The restaurant has both counter seats and table seats. There are also several private dining rooms, so if you want to feel relaxed and enjoy a conversation, you should make a reservation early. Zakuro Ginza is open every day (no fixed holidays but may be closed irregularly and during the New Year's season):
Lunch: 11:00 – 15:00
Dinner: 17:00 - 22:00
Weekends and national holidays:
