Torishiki was founded in 2007 and received one Michelin star in 2015. When you enter the restaurant, you will see the beautifully shining U-shaped bar counter. Be aware that smoking is strictly prohibited inside the restaurant.
There is only one menu, “omakase,” which means “leave it all up to the chef,” yakitori maestro Yoshiteru Ikegawa. At the outset, Ikegawa will check whether you have any particular preferences or aversions. The cost differs depending on how much you eat. The skewers arrive at measured intervals. There is no hurrying the charcoal, so there is plenty of time to chat, slowly sip on your drinks and watch Ikegawa at work.
Emphasis is placed on freshness and provenance, including Date Tori from Fukushima and local vegetables. You can always enjoy the delicacies and dishes of the season. In the past guests have been served “kashira,” one of the tastiest cuts of chicken breast, “sesseri,” fine layers of neck meat, “bonjiri,” the fatty part from the tail, “tsukune,” single-bite balls of ground chicken, and much more! Of course there is a drink list and you can enjoy various kinds of drinks.
To taste the cuisine, a reservation is mandatory. The restaurant has only 17 counter seats and it is quite hard to secure your seats, so you should make a reservation early. You can book your seats through our restaurant reservation service and enjoy the delicious taste of Torishiki 's set meal!
