Sushi-ya is satisfying people in Ginza by serving reasonably priced, but wonderful tasting sushi. Head chef, Ishiyama, is really young but exceptionally talented and skillful, so if you want to try sushi in Tokyo, Sushi-ya is a great place to visit.
- Meet the lovable young sushi chef, Chef Ishiyama!

Fantastic sushi experience. Ishiyama-san is a deft master. (He also speaks some English and is downright chatty compared to some.) The quality is top notch and a relative bargain. The staff is also great - seating was not going to be until a little after our reservation and they offered to spot us a drink at a nearby bar.
In short, if you are looking for a single high-end sushi experience in Tokyo, Sushi-ya is on the short list.
The worst part of this experience was that it had to end.
Delicious food in an intimate restaurant in the hear of Ginza. I enjoyed some dishes that I had not enjoyed at other restaurants (eg. Sea Urchin). Try everything! It's all very tasty.
The staff were very hospitable and the chef explained in English everything served. Wonderful to watch such a skilled Chef prepare each dish.
the place is quite hidden in the small alley..but the foods are really amazing.. great experience
This is my favorite sushi so far in Tokyo from atmosphere to sushi quality and rice temprature and flavor. Chef Takao Ishiyama is very talented and has an even brighter future, he used to work at Sushi Saito before. Chef and Hostess speaks good English so communication was very easy in addition to the kindess the respect everyone shows.
Dreamy sushi dinner
Amazing dinner with many pieces of sushi I haven't knew they even exist.
Amazing sushi shop
Sushi-ya is an amazing sushi shop, and the chef is very talented. Needless to say, the sushi is excellent.
Voyagin made a reservation for me at Sushi-ya, but their reservation fee feels a bit high (and now it's even higher). Voyagin said that I had to arrive 15 minutes early, which caused an awkward situation since the restaurant could not let me in earlier than my reservation time.
To summarise, five stars to Sushi-ya and three to Voyagin.
I didn't get to secure a booking on Sushi-ya as I only submitted my request 1+ week before my trip. Voyagin tried their best to check availability based on my preferences and in the end they could secure booking on another restaurant (of my choice) that suited my availability.
All the processes from the beginning were very smooth.
