    Out of this world experience!

We loved everything about Kohaku! The interior has a wonderful minimalist design, with some of the tables separated by screens for privacy. Our hosts were very attentive to us throughout the whole night, even noticing whether we were right/left handed in terms of how they set down dishes! Every detail was carefully crafted, down to the unique dishes, each with colors that often matched the food. I was nervous about going to my first 3 star Michelin restaurant but I felt very comfortable at Kohaku. It has a more relaxed ambiance than other high end places. The dishes were the best that I've ever had. Chef Koji Koizumi came out at the end and took pictures with us. He even walked us out under the rain, gave us umbrellas, and helped us find a cab. If you can afford it, definitely make this place a priority in any visit to Tokyo. I would go back in a heartbeat!
