It's a must - Rent a Go-Kart and ride around Akihabara Tokyo!
What a blast! Highlight of our Japan trip and something we would do again and again! Our tour guide (optional; not required) was the most friendly person ever. He was always smiling and taking pictures of us to share afterwards. Our tour started at 9AM which was perfect since the weather was still cool (tour took placed in September). Our tour guide navigated us to the tourist attractions and help us take pictures with it in the background. I would rate this experience a 5 star from a scale of 1-5! It's definitely worth it and SUPER DUPER fun and different as you are in go-karts in live traffic. No, it's not scary especially with a tour guide who is more familiar with the directions.
Our guide was so nice and helpful! It was a great way to explore Tokyo, we had a blast.
A personalised go-cart experience in Tokyo!
While the costumes weren't as flash as the competitor's, the advantage of going with A Kart Akihabara is that you're not stuck in a big group of 'Marios' who may or may not know how to drive a cart. We had a personalised tour, just the two of us and our guide. We got to decide where we wanted to go, we got to go FAST, and our guide took great photos of us with various Tokyo sites behind us.
We had a great time and thoroughly recommend this adventure!
We had a great time driving through Tokyo while wearing costumes. Our guide took pictures of us and was very accommodating with our time slot. We were scheduled to ride at 10am, but asked if he had another group. He said yes and agreed to have us return at the later time to ride a as a big group.
The only compliant I have is the lack of costumes. It's not a large selection and he didn't have any mario characters.
Overall, we felt safe the whole time driving through the city and would recommended it to anyone.
