If you are looking for delicious experiences in Tsukiji, my tour is the best choice for you because I am the No.1 expert who knows everything about Tsukiji gourmet information.
I have been active in the mass media field as a Tsukiji Fish Market advisor, and have written many books about the market's restaurants and the market itself. My books have received global recognition. I also became champion in a famous Japanese television series called "TV Champion" for my deep knowledge of the market. People now call me the "Tsukiji King".

    Tsukiji Fish Market Tour

We appreciate Mr. King's tour. He patiently explained types of toro, history and cooking ingredients. We love the sushi restaurant he recommends!

    Fabulous

Our family was taken around the fish market by Atsushi who met us at the Tsukijoshijo station. He took time to explain to us about the inner and outer markets and some of the history surrounding the fish market. He then took us around both markets, including the fruit and vegetable market, ensuring that we got experience the locals at work and answering all of our questions. Atsushi explained the importance of watching out for the locals travelling around the market at high speeds, delivering or procuring fish. This was a really informative and fun experience and at the end of our tour we enjoyed the best sushi we have ever tasted.

    Knowledgable guide and fantastic tour

After reading many reviews and tour info, we decided to start our fish market tour at a later time at 9.30 with Tsukiji King with our kids (8 & 6). It was a great time for all of us and the kids enjoyed the tour without issues.

Couldnt have gone around without him!

The Tsukiji King is as knowledgeable as everyone says he is in the reviews. He had a guidebook with visuals in regards to where we were going and how the market was broken down. He took us to various food places and was very patient with all our needs. The restaurant he recommended and reserved to us was fantastic. Im sad to hear that Tsukiji Market will be moving but then that means new researching and a plan for the King! If I come back to Japan and want to check out the new market, I will make sure to contact him again!

Fun and educational tour with great sushi!

The private Tsukiji Fish Market Tour was one of our highlights during our Tokyo visit. Great guide, spoke very good English, that got us into the right places. The old fish market will be demolished in the fall of 2016, so see the place before it is gone. A great tour and guide. You will see both the inner and outer markets. We ate Edo sushi after the tour. Quit the experience and highly recommended!

    Best Experience Ever!

I'm so glad we booked this tour!

Tsukiji King took us to both the inner and outer markets as well as some extra spots where we could get a great view of the whole structure. Throughout the whole experienceTsukiji king was an amazing source of knowledge. He provided us many insights on the workings of the market, the different products being sold as well as great food stall recommendations! - it's safe to say we would have been lost without him!

At the end of the tour, Tsukiji king took us to an amazing uni restaurant and helped us explain/translate the japanese menu and order - it was one of the most amazing meals we had ever had!

Thank you Tsukiji King for one of the best mornings in Japan!

    Fascinating Fish Market Experience

For a couple of overwhelmed tourists who wanted to explore the Tsukiji Market this tour was the best thing ever! The guide, the Tsukiji King, is a massive source of knowledge about the workings of the market. He led our small group through the chaotic maze of both the inner and outer markets, explaining the differences between the two areas and how they functioned. For an insider and behind-the-scenes view of the market this tour is a must!
Even if you don't eat seafood like myself, the Tsukiji Market is a fascinating destination you should experience at least once.
The Tsukiji King will also recommended fantastic seafood-free options for those who aren't in the mood for sushi.

    Extremely interesting and informative

We had considered trying to do the market by ourselves and I'm glad we went for this tour instead. We learned w lot about the layout of the market, the history, and the plans for the future move. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgable and able to answer my myriad questions. I would have been completely overwhelmed about where to go and what I was seeing otherwise.

Come hungry, come with yen in your pockets as there is so much to try at the outer markets. The sushi restaurant he recommended was tucked away, no line, and the food was excellent.
