Sakura -Japan in the Box- is a new form of night entertainment proposed by Meijiza, the theater with the longest history in Tokyo. Tokyo, the city which welcomes visitors from all over the world. Although there’s all kinds of different things to do in this vibrant city, night-time entertainment was somewhat lacking - until now! This program brings a new kind of enjoyment to a time slot in which there used to be nothing to do.

    Cool show

My son enjoyed it so much. I like the music not sure about the other singers, but the last one had a beautiful voice out of all the girls. Don't really need to read it just enjoy the music.

Don't think its storyline. Just feel it. It is fun!

It could be better if it has a storyline, but you can see many things about Japan at once here.

    Very vibrant performance

In general, this is a very vibrant and entertaining performance. Combining every element of what Japan's known to the world. The 4 seasons, anime, technology and also traditional culture. However, I found that the storyline is a little bit jumbled and confusing. But it is still an interesting performance to watch when you are in Japan.

    Magical experience for the family

What a wonderful and magical night we experienced. It's the only shoe you need to see. It has tradition, anime, instruments, singing, beautiful costumes. Everything! It is perfect for children!

    Really cool experience

I'm sure there was some sort of storyline, but I have no idea what it was. I just thoroughly enjoyed the music, the dancing, and the spectacle. It's a bit out of the way as far as touristy spots, but it's worth the train ride.

    An interesting concept...

I got the tickets for free and went there with my bf. The show had some interesting parts but it lacks a good storyline.

    Beyond expectation!

The show ties in all forms of dancing in a great story, really leads you on a journey that dazzles the eyes. The fusion of anime and culture is also a great touch with several audience interactive parts too. Would definately watch this again given the chance.

    Fun and beautiful show

This is a fun show to watch. There is phone app for it that prompt you when to take photos and it translate songs to English. I didn't use it too much other than taking photos. The show was very vibrant and there were parts that interacted with the audience. It was a lovely night.

This was a fabulous show. Very energetic, wonderful dancing, staging, costuming, and music.

My husband and I are from the US. We went to this show after hearing about it through Voyagin. This show was just wonderful, so energetic. The dancing, music, costuming, lights, and stage/video all were beautifully coordinated. I loved the ball dance with the balls falling into the audience. And the lighted hula hoop dance was fun. My iphone was synched to the show giving me english translations for all the songs. This a a fabulous show for visitors to Japan and was a highlight of my trip.
