Kabuki is arguably the most famous form of theatre born of the Japanese islands and time spent at any show will open a side of the culture most will miss.
From serious plays to the more humorous of performances, romance, histories and tragedies, kabuki has it all and then some.
Painted faces, exaggerated gestures, wonderful sets and actors whose whose names have been used for centuries make up a day / show at the kabuki.
Performances can be enjoyed for as little as 45 minutes to 3 or 4 hours - and all in the company of a person who has worked closely with the people running kabuki on tours to the US, England, and France.
*Activity cost does NOT include the price for the Kabuki tickets
A morning performance at kabuki can be added on to a visit to the fish market at Tsukiji
