Great time exploring the anime headquarters of the world
Fantastic time with Yume - super flexible with itinerary and super good recommendations regarding shops of interest. Highly recommended.
A full and fun day of niche goods shopping
Yume was a great host for our day around Tokyo. Before the tour she asked what anime/Japanese pop culture I was most interested, and then she sent back a detailed schedule on shops that did or would have most likely carried said goods. She also worked in lunch for a themed bar I wanted to go to.
We visited major anime sections of Tokyo like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, and more and walked around the shops. She really knows her stuff for second hand good shops, bookstores, videogame stores, etc!
Yume is also incredibly helpful in translation. She helped me identify a lot of items I had previously seen, but didn't know what they were. She asked store clerks for certain items for me, which I really appreciated. And she navigated the menu during lunch!
Overall, 10/10 experience. If I had tried to visit these shops by myself I wouldn't have hit 80% of them.
This is the tour for anime shopping. I recommend it if you are looking for anime/gaming merchandise.
I loved the time I spent with Yume. She is a very good guide. We went so many places that I would have never found on my own. I took alot of photos and bought some cool stuff. I enjoyed lunch very much. Yume took me to her favorite place to eat Ramen. I ordered the meal she suggested and it was great. At the end Yume gave me a gift of some Japanese snacks. If you love anime new and old you'll like this tour.
Customized perfectly to see so many Anime sites!
Yume is the best!! So willing to make the "Hangout" customized to the anime we wanted to see. Very positive, friendly and supportive. Maid Cafe... Owl Cafe... lots of shops... Great little noodle place for lunch. Lots of FUN!
Absolutely would recommend Yume to everyone!
Great tour and energy
Yume was great to tour with and was very enthusiastic! Hope to tour with her again when I bring my fam / friends next time!
Great Anime Tour! Discovered places we would never have found on our own.
Yume was the perfect host for a jam-packed fun day. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she graciously showed keen interest in our daughter's anime preferences throughout the day. Yume was so well organized and she seamlessly guided us to numerous centers of all things anime. We would never have discovered all these spots on our own which included many "insider" locations that are hidden away. This was the highlight of our trip for our daughter and we loved having a day off from navigating in Tokyo. We would highly recommend this tour.
Anime Tour with Yumi
We found Yumi an extremely pleasant guide who knew her way around Tokyo. She took us through the subway and train lines to visit various anime sights. We just followed while she guided our 14 year old daughter on her fantasy anime shopping trip. She stuck by her, ensuring she did not get lost and found what she wanted. We also visited the Owl Cafe which was my special request. It was great to hang out with a local and not have to get lost. Thanks Yumi!!!
Couldn't have asked for a better guide than Yume!
Yume had asked us what we wanted to see in Tokyo a week before we arrived. She came up with a plan, and even made reservations for us at "Guts Soul", a barbecue place in Nakano! Both my friend and I had specific items we wanted to see and buy, Yume was glad to help. She was very polite and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone very knowledgeable about anime and anything else you may need while you are in Japan. She even did her best to help us look for a phone battery and even an HDMI switch..random items but she did an amazing job navigating us!
A tour with unforgettable and wonderful experiences
Yume have been very helpful since I booked this tour. Not only did she carefully answer each question, but she also customized the tour to a person's interest. In this tour, we went to Suginami Animation Museum in this morning, where you can learn the history of Japanese comics and animation, and explore the production behind the scenes. The most interesting experience is you can actually make a four- or six frame based animation there. In the afternoon, we went to a owl cafe in Ikebukuro, where there you can see owls and even touch them, or let them stand on your arm. This tour finally ended at Animate Ikebukuro, where I bought a lot of special manga and anime related goods as souvenirs. Thanks to Yume for introducing me to this places, giving me so many special experiences and wonderful memories.
