Japan's enigmatic geishas have long held the imagination of both the east and west. This experience is designed for you to experience traditional Japanese dining and see trained entertainers perform and serve you at an “enkai” (Japanese-style party).
- Eat a Japanese meal at a first class Japanese restaurant
- Receive drinks and meal service from geisha
- Enjoy a traditional and elegant Japanese dance performance
- Experience traditional Japanese party games called "ozashiki asobi"
- Learn about Japanese hospitality, kimono, and traditional music and dance
Meet up at the restaurant. Exact point varies depending on booking date and preference.
Please input the number of geisha you would like to book. We recommend a ratio of 1 geisha for every 3 guests. Even with 1 geisha you will able able to see a performance of 3 or more traditional dance pieces. However, if you wish to see performance with live instruments, you must book a minimum of 2 geisha.
Please let us know if you have special preferences (or food allergies!) regarding the type of food you'd like for the dinner. The course prices vary between 5,000 and 10,000 yen per person, depending upon seasonal ingredients and the restaurant itself. You can choose between tempura, sushi, and kaiseki. If no preference is specified we will make a booking based on availability. Japanese course meals contain set sequences of dishes and cannot be changed individually, they will be the same for every customer.
For reservations of 1 guest, please note that it can be difficult to reserve an appropriately sized private room for geisha performance. The geisha can dance in even very small spaces so you will still be able to see performance. Thank you for your understanding.

From Japan’s Meiji Period until the Showa Period (1868-1945), the Omori Kaigan Seaside neighborhood flourished as one of Tokyo’s representative hanamachi, geisha districts. In its golden age, the streets were lined with traditional Japanese restaurants, ryotei, and beautifully dressed groups of geisha could been seen fluttering in and out as they worked in the stylish neighborhood. The Yoshinoya geisha house has existed in the Omori and Oimachi area since that golden age.
The geisha of Yoshinoya spend their days diligently studying traditional Japanese dance, tea ceremony, and Nagauta shamisen. It is our hope that we can share the beauty of Japanese tradition with you.

Highlight of a trip to Japan
Great way to experience Geisha culture and customs, Kimichi was very nice and happy to explain and share stories.
We had an amazing time eating a great meal with a wonderful evening with 3 Geishas. They were fantastic.
This was a truly memorable experience. The geisha we're charming and courteous. Everything you want from an authentic Japanese dining experience. Highly recommended.
Fantastic night! The Furisode was such a well refined young woman and it was a pleasure chatting with her. Although my partner is Japanese speaking, it was a pleasant surprise to learn she also spoke English. Great food, great company.
There was a mistake with the date, but eveything got fixed in the end! I was a grear experience.
Thank you so much for this lovely experience! And sorry for the inconvenience and for the trouble as well! Thank you so much for rescheduling!
Amazing Geisha experience!
We really enjoyed our Geisha experience. It was myself, my husband and a friend that was vising from out of town. We were able to chat, laugh, play games and just have an overall good time. I would recommend the experience to anyone!
Wow!! What an experience.
Knowing I would be in Japan on my birthday, I thought I would do something extra special,
and so booked Enjoy dinner with a Geisha performance in Asakusa.
Then as the date of my meal drew nearer, I wondered what I had let myself in for, as I do not
like being the centre of attention, made a fuss of or watched while I'm eating. What have I
As I entered the restaurant and my hand parted the Noren (half-curtain) my two ladies where there to greet me, Akane and Yayoi both very quickly put me at complete and total
ease. Their fabulous long sleeved kimono, make up and hair where all immaculate, with
great attention to detail, the make up is far more complex when seen up close.
Akane and Yayoi spoke very good English, even though they said they did not and we talked
about a wide range of topics, while I ate, including Downton Abbey.
Sitting at my low table on tatami mats in a private room with a beautiful ladies on each side of me, chatting and pouring my drinks as I enjoy my lovely tempura. I had to pinch myself several times, figuratively speaking, I seemed to be in a period film.
These two ladies where the perfect dinning companions, this was everything and more I could have ever imagined it would be.
The performance part of the evening came in the form of two dances. As I sat watching two beautiful ladies gracefully dancing, just for me and only for me, it was truly amazing and so powerful that I was very close to tears. Only my English stiff upper lip and resolve stopped
me from crying with shear joy.
The food and staff at Aoi-Marushin, the tempura restaurant where my meal was held, where excellent and added a lot to my very happy and brilliant time.
Two hours flew past and sadly my experience was over too soon. Back outside the restaurant, on the street in the real world, I was walking on air. My conferdance levels
boosted to the max, my head held high.
Wow!! What an experience and a birthday to remember. This is the Japan that every visitor wants to be a part of and is highly recommended.
Tomoko was amazing. She helped us in every way possible and she went above and beyond the call to make our stay memorable. Worth every penny...no stress about travel at all.
