Kamakura is the perfect place for you to go sightseeing! Enjoy this tour and explore the ancient city of Kamakura! 10:00 AM Depart Shinjuku Station Around 11:30, we will arrive at Hase Station. Visit Hase Dera (Hase Kannon) Hase Dera is located on top of a hill. You will see the giant statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, and see the amazing view of the sea. The statue of Kannon is the tallest wooden image in Japan. It has 11 heads, each with different expressions to represent Kannon's compassion for all kinds of human suffering. Visit Kamakura Daibutsu See the great buddha of Kamakura! It is a statue of Amida Buddha, which was cast in 1252. This statue is the second largest monumental Buddha in Japan. Lunch Eat lunch around Hase Station! There are many different types of food you can eat. Relax and re-energize for your trip afterwards! A. (Summer/ Spring Season)Get on the train to Yuigahama Station - Walk to Yuigahama Beach Enjoy a walk along Yuigahama beach, one of the most popular beach spots in Japan! Relax, sit on the sand and enjoy the summer weather of Japan! We will ride the train to Kamakura Station afterwards. B. (Autumn/ Winter Season) Get on the train to Kamakura Station - Visit Myohonji Temple Myohonji Temple is one of the Nichiren Buddhism temples in Japan. It is the tallest temple in Japan. Go explore the hidden treasures in this beautiful temple. After visiting Myohonji Temple, we will be moving on to other amazing places near Kamakura Station! Visit Komachi Dori Komachi Dori is a very lively street, full of many small shops! You can purchase traditional Japanese sweets for snacks and eat it as you walk along this street! There are many souvenir shops as well! Visit Tsuruoka Hachimanguu Shrine At the end of Komachi Dori, we will get to the most important shrine in Kamakura. Founded in 1063, you will walk along a wide, spacious street until you reach the shrine. The view and atmosphere of this street will take you back in time. Walk to Sasukeinari Shrine Enjoy the walk from Tsuruoka Hachimanguu Shrine to Sasukeinari Shrine. Reach the shrine by going through a nice tunnel of tori gates with red flags. Witness statues of foxes along the way! Walk back to Kamakura Station and ride back to Shinjuku Station Around 6:30 PM, we will take the train back to Shinjuku Station. We will get back to Shinjuku Station around 7:30 PM. As a famous sightseeing spot in Japan, Kamakura will offer you the experience to get in touch with the history and culture of Japan. You will be seeing many shrines, temples, and statues. Depending on the season, you will see many seasonal flowers blooming along the streets!
