Description

We will start at Mitsukoshimae, home of the Bank of Japan and the outfit which bills itself as the "world's oldest department store" Mitsukoshi, replete with iconic Lions et al. We then take the short journey to Akasaka-Mitsuke, home of the tranquil bliss that is Hie Shrine and the equally tranquil Hotel New Otani gardens. An opportunity to sample the traditional Japanese sweet an-mitsu and macha tea will be available inside an iconic New Otani bar, should guests wish. We then proceed to the shopping delights of Omotesando, working our way up the shrine approach until reaching the fabulous Meiji Shrine. We then proceed to Ame-yoko-cho for bargain hunting, before finishing up in marvelous souvenir paradise Asakusa and great views of the tallest building in Japan, the Sky Tree.
