Even Japanese people hardly experience making kogatana, but it’s really a precious tradition of Japan! You can still buy fake Japanese swords in the shop. However, making a genuine one yourself is so exciting. Don't miss this opportunity!

Once-in-a-lifetime experience. The hosts led me through creating a knife from a folded iron blank. Everyone was friendly, helpful and funny. The ancient forge is fascinating, quaint but fully functional and professional. I got a rare feeling of pride and accomplishment when the blade was tempered and completed. They need some time to sharpen and polish the blade and assemble the hilt, which I don't mind - can't wait! An experience not to be missed which yields a treasured, tangible memory. Highly recommended!
